How to enable JavaScript in your browser

Internet Explorer 6

Scripts are enabled in security levels Low, Medium-Low and Medium, but not in High. If you want to enable JavaScript, you need to set the security level of your browser to Medium or lower. (See http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/howto/security/setup.mspx for more information.)

Select Tools - Internet Options - Security. Now do ONE of the following:

Option 1 (least cautious)

Click on Internet. If there is a slider displayed which is pointing to High, move the slider to Medium.
Warning
: this sets the security level to Medium for all the sites you visit, apart from any sites you have defined as Trusted or Restricted.

Option 2 (fairly cautious)

Click on Internet. Select Custom Level. Scroll down to Scripting - Active Scripting and select Enable.
Warning
: this allows scripting for all the sites you visit, apart from any sites you have defined as Trusted or Restricted.

Option 3 (most cautious)

Click on Trusted Sites. If there is a slider displayed, make sure that it is pointing to Medium or lower. If the slider is on High, or if there is no slider, click on Custom Level. Scroll down to Scripting - Active Scripting and select Enable.
Note: This allows scripting for all the sites you have defined as Trusted.
Click on Sites. Enter the name of the website where it says "Add this Web site to the zone" . Click on Add - OK.

Now click on OK, then press CTRL-F5 to refresh the page you were looking at.

Firefox

Select Tools - Options - Content and tick Enable JavaScript.

Now click on OK, then press CTRL-R to refresh the page you were looking at.
